Airbrush paint question

Post by USSARCADIA »

Hope somebody can help with this(OT a little). A friend of mine is trying to paint on fabric and has been using Createx paint thinned with water. His Iwatas are clogging, I think because the paint is a bit thick. Reminds me of craft paint. Is there any better airbrush paint for fabric that is thinner?

My first question would be are they using Createx Airbrush colors or the regular Createx fabric paints? The medium body regular fabric paints are thick and need a heck of a lot of thinning. IIRC they aren't recommended for airbrush work but with some trial and error thinning them it can be done.

If they are using the airbrush colors I'd suggest going to a thicker needle/nozzle.

Thanks, I didn't think about the needle size.
