Mr Surfacer over paint - Is this a problem?

Post by marc111 »

I have 2 questions:
1) If I have painted a piece with enamel paint can I airbrush Mr. Surfacer over the enamel paint. (I have some lightblocked areas that once glued in place would get oversprayed as part of the general mr surfacer coat.)

2) The same question BUT in this case the undercoat i.e. first paint layer is an acrylic paint coat.

Thanks,
Mark

You shouldn't have any problem over both enamel and acrylic as long as you keep the Mr Surfacer coats light and let it flash off between coats. You certainly don't want to puddle it on the surface :)
