9 volt to 3 volt circuit help needed
I have a simple, 3 volt strobe circuit that uses the old LM3909 component. I put it together years ago. Is there any way I can get this to work on a 9 volt wall wart voltage? Just adding a resistor in the forward 9 volt path doesn't do it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ant, yeah, I originally built it to run off 3 battery powered volts...But the rest of the kit I want to run it with of is wired at 9 volts...needed to light the 9 volt led strips. It took me a while and a bit of internet searching but I did manage it in the end this afternoon - I wired 5 LED's in series in front of the flasher unit input. This provides enough resistance to drop the voltage and still keep the strobe effect of the led's intended to be momentarily lit (my current Sith Infiltrator build).
Cheers
