Try sending a PM to Naoto. HE may be able to help.

http://www.tamiyausa.com/ has that kind of info about all of their products in English.

Linda
Is this plastic thingy on the counter a model part or can I throw it away?

Thanks for the Tamiya link, however, no luck on information for that white fine surface primer. I did however e mail customer service with my question, so hopefully i will recieve a translation. This will be my first time using tamiya products which i have heard a lot of good things about on these hobby forums. I also checked the color charts for the spray paints i have, and i have the HAZE GRAY spray and the cap is the color gray i need, however, the color chart on the website shows that very color & number a totally different green looking color. the cap is identical to model master medium gray which i could not find in a spray, only a bottle. I sure hope the cap color on my can represents the true color of the paint inside. :D

A word, Bert - never trust colors you see on a website. Probably every computer monitor is adjusted differently, so what may appear "too green" to you may appear "too blue" to the next person.
However, you can generally trust Tamiya lid colors to be fairly close to the paint colors. They may be a smidge off, but not enough to really matter in the grand scheme of things :)

I got the same can. Here's the deal: shake it and then spray it. It dries realtively quickly (Like 20 minutes). Then after you're done using that tiny $8 can go to Wally World or the Home Despot and buy yourself a can of rustoleum primer for plastics or Krylon because it's much sheaper and heavier for a primer thatn the Tamiya.

BTW, if you check under the cap the English Instructions may be there as well. I found mine 4 months after buying the can.

Thanks shawn, i haven't unsealed it yet,and i t will be my first time priming a model. I never really had any problems with paint before ( enamel rattle cans ) when i built and detailed my Polar lights Jupiter 2. I uses metallic silver and after a very thourgh cleaning painted it in several light coats. I didn't want to cause any fine scratches that i would miss in the primer and that metallic silver shows Every minor and smallest scratch  . I am going to build the PL seaview and want to start priming my kits from here on in. I think the paint finish would look even better than it does when i didn't prime. I hear laquers cure much faster and are more durable than enamels. How smooth is that wal mart type primer ? does it cover up and hide any small details ?
