Vacuforming and Mr. Surfacer

I've been thinking of vacuforming instead of casting since I have a vacuforming machine and am better at it than I am casting.

The one thing I have never tried is vacuforming over a master that has a thick layer of Mr Surfacer covering it. I'm concerned about the effect the heat will have on it.

I asked a similar question regarding the use of primer -- but I believe Mr Surfacer is more like a thin putty than it is paint.

Will the layer of surfacer be affected? Will it lift off of the part?

I'm afraid of ruining a master that I've spent a good deal of time and effort creating. Can anyone help?

if you are worried, which i would not, if only vacuforming one time, using about .015, then put your blank in the freezer for a few minutes.
