3M putty

Post by Darkov »

Has anyone used this stuff? Is it really an acrylic putty? I was thinking about using it to seal foam that I have cut to shape for models.

There are two different kinds
Green
Blue

I didn't want to just go out and buy it...almost $20/tube just to try it.

I use Acryl Blue all the time for filling seams, great stuff, a little pricey, but it sands to a very smooth finish.

It is a solvent based putty like Squadron/Bondo/Testor, it may have some form of acrylic in it, but it is not a true acrylic putty, it will melt styrene in large quantities and will probably melt foam.
