Hello Gents,

Recently I've been building some work require to transfer 1/144 to 1/100 scale. Does anyone know how to do that in milimeter form?

1/100 (.01) ÷ 1/144 (.0069444) = 1.4400092

So if you take a measurement off the 1/144 scale item and multiply it by 1.4400092 you'll get the size of it in 1/100 scale.

If you simplify first:

1/100 ÷ 1/144 = factor of multiplication

Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its inverse, so:

(1/100) x (144/1) = 144/100 = 1.44

You can get rid of calculator's rounding errors.

To make a bigger model, take a measurement from your smaller 1/144th version, divide it by 100 then multiply the answer by 144. It's that simple.
