Future as seam sealer

Post by obertc »

Just throwing it out there ... I use future and baby powder (non-medicated) and it makes a great seam sealer/covering agent. Some future and enough powder stirred together to make the consistency you want. Dries to a white finish and is sandable. Put it on sparingly and just where you need it or you'll be sanding for a while.

Another way to use Future as a filler is to place a little bit of it in a palette (well type) and let is dry out a bit until it's goopy. Then apply it to the place to fill. You can then buff it away with a cotton-swap soaked in ammonia-containing Windex.

How does it stand up to unintended flexing of the joint?

I use the stuff with glass bubble filler. Works fine.
