Airbrush cleaner recomendation

Post by Cyber-Sith »

I got a Badger 150 D/A
And was looking for a few recomendations on airbrush cleaner.
(you know to clean out all the residue from the nooks and crannies)
I spray both enamel and acrlyic through it.

The Badger has a teflon needle bearing that is susceptible to damage from really harsh solvents like acetone and even lacquer thinner, so you have to be careful not to soak the main body in these solvents. Not sure if Castrol Super Clean will affect the bearing, though :)
Createx Airbrush Cleaner is a good choice for cleaning up after acrylics, and when I used a Badger 200 with enamels (back in the old days before acrylics), I just blew mineral spirits or lacquer thinner through it until it ran clear.
