Painting with silver Model Masters

When I used to use my craft paints, I would always throw down some black before the silver then go over it with the silver.

Should I do the same with the MM or will I be waisting alot of black?

Will the silver be enough and not need the undercoat?

A black undercoat makes the silver look much better. This is true with MM enamels, especially true with MM buffing metallizers, and it is required with Alclad II metallics.

Thanks, I'm using the Acrylic can't stand enamels.

Undercoats can make a big difference. Gloss black should give more more of a reflectance. You can try other colors under panels like red, yellow, etc to give a more vibrant color. Same with yellow under gold and red under copper...
