I'm building a PL E. and have purchased the trekmodeler DIY light kit. well any way last night i was attaching the two have of the engineering and tested my lights and some how managed as far as I can tell fried my strobe and nav light board. has any one else had this happen? i'm kinda stressin this mornin on what to do next. suggestions appreciated.

OK, first thing first, how do you know its fried? Did the lights come on again when you remove the two Engineering halves?

The possible theory is that the electrical tapes could have gotten loose somewhere and the wiring could be touching the aluminum foils thus creating a short. I'm not there, and I could be wrong...
So, the next step is to get in touch with trekmodeler on this.

Well turns out the board isn't fried just burned out the leds on the bottom of the secondary hull. Big relief but still trying to find the short. All I can figure is that my foil tape grounded out a circuit like mr. engineer was saying. Gonna replace the two burned bulbs and go at it again. Wish me luck
