You won't need a whole bottle for what you mentioned unless you put the paint on too thick. If you are using a straight color, ie no mixing colors, just thin enough to get a bit in your airbrush and see how far that gets you. Then continue on until the job is finished. The reason to airbrush in the ...

I've used the Tamiya stuff quite a bit and have a feeling what you are doing will end in much frustration as the material isn't meant to do that. You can probably change the color but it seems like a bad solution instead of just filling, priming and painting the entire model as is usually done.

Use some plain old liquid cement on the sides of the hull halves and them stick them together. That's how I do mine.

Artists water colors can be used to make a wash, or really any water based paint. The trick is getting them to flow correctly and thinning them to the correct consistency. I'm not sure what difference you mean by a wash for panel lines, but the easy thing to do would be, if working with acrylics on ...

Re: Rustoleon Metallic Silver on Plastic

It is a bit tacky as it may be reacting to the plastic, but will it eventually dry? Things can't react forever, right?!? How long has it been tacky? Depending on the air temp and humidity and how thick you applied it may take a few hours to dry. Did you put some primer down first? That would be the...

Try brushing on Vallejo brass and then wash with black/brown/green and very light drybrushing with green.

As long as you have a good clearcoat you won't have to worry about brushing on the brass as it would be easy to wipe off any mistakes.

Are you using the flat white? That one is tough to use and has given me trouble over the years. If you have the gloss version it might work better but I'd just keep playing with your paint to thinner ratio and find where it works best.

The paints are all a bit different and each is good for certain things. I use Tamiya in the airbrush and Vallejo for detail/brush painting. I thin the Tamiya with alcohol and Vallejo with water. The Vallejo is awesome for brush painting and so much easier to work with than Tamiya.
