Think of it as a series of buses your going to have your main wires branch off to each portion of the ship. Saucer, Neck, Hull, Right Nacelle, Left Nacelle, The Bus is the group of LEDs in each section. So your calculator should work fine for each seperate section. as long as no section has more tha...

Batteries
Ok I may be in trouble i've built my refit all based around it being powered by three batteries in series. So three C cells or D cells. Providing 4.5 volts. However I am now using about 80 LEDs each draws about 20 Ma. Does the resistor add to how much power the led draws? If not my ship draws about ...

So what are the possibilities. First we know it's driven by a CR2032 battery which is 3 volts so I could attach wires to those leads and power it from an outside wire. I could place it in a saucer section and attach fiber optics to the LED that is on it. Could I do something more out of the box such...

What is this?
So I work in a store and we have a tons of cardboard displays that have flashing lights. one broke, I promise I didn't do it and this is what is inside it. I'm thinking I could use it to have some flashing nav lights in my next build but what is it? does the little board make it flash or is it a fla...

OK issue positivly identified. The lead from the switch carrying positive to the inside of the ship for the RCS thrusters, warp crystal etc. is loose it is loose inside the engineering hull underneath the shuttle bay. Here's the good news. I can just cut that wire off. How will that circuit get powe...

LED problem
Good Morning, In my 350 Refit I'm having a series of lights that flicker and or turn off. I made a two minute video showing the problem. http://youtu.be/iEeW1f_Jv_Y Here's my basic set up. I have a three C battery pack providing 4.5 volts. I have a common ground wire running up to the ship. Next I h...

good deal. I missed that the whole build wasnt' complete. Makes the rest easier and you can tailor everything to the same feed voltage and get all your parallel circuits running off the same power source. Yes for most of mine I go to mouser.com and filter by voltage. Then you can find several sizes...

Yes the answer here it's to add one large resistor to the negative post of the battery box. This will drop the voltage from 3.6 to 3.2 . Then the resistor on the red led will drop the current for that led to what you Calculated before. To figure out the resistors value add all currents for all the L...
