Thanks -- I've got some old Doc Martin brown, myself, for subtler washes.
I guess ink co$t$ more, now; metallics seem to be pricier, but, stang! -- this brand has some real tasty green shades....
I'll try one bottle, let y'all know directly!..
Whoops, SCORPION is on-------

Painting Dragon's 1/24 Iron Man figures
I haven't built figures much, since the Aurora Gill Man days... My styrene Ben Grimm still inhabits his box, but, has been washed of mold release... I have the Mk 35 Iron Man 3 armor. It's molded in light grey styrene body halves, and a...polyvinyl (?) for the legs and arms. Will my beloved V...

Evening", Y'all! Squadron Mail Order/New Cyanocrylate
The folks in Carrolton, Texas, have started selling their own brand of super glue. Comes in thin, medium, and thick variants. The bottles seem to have a trick nozzle; why so, not apparent to me in their AD currently on the airwaves since May 1st 2015... Anyone have any real world usage information o...

Back when I used enamels, I dry brushed that on a silver basecoat; gave the shading effect you want (simulates metal expansion) - I'd look close at real world examples (like on motorsiccle exhausts) for ideas before I painted. AFAIK, tho, airbrushing is the way to go with this stuff - also, I think?...

[bThank you very much, Guys![/b] A local model buddy told me that Plastruct had a site, and I've ordered a catalog already from them. I Did Not Know of the other sites; there is a local plastic supplier down in SA on E. Grayson, but they don't deal with thinner stuff. I have gotten scrap Plexiglass ...

I FI-nally used up the very last of an old Plastruct brand sheet set, and went to look for more -hmmm. I need to stock up again! So- Local Art store Asel's has single sheets, and 'Buckley' on the phone, so I'll have to go into Sorry Tonio to see, myself what they really have... Hobby Lobby has a few...

Great Joy in Texas City! My first test shot after bolting moisture trap male fitting end TO the compressor, was GREAT! Lost a couple of psi, but I'm not running the teflon tape on my threads, yet; loss is minimal. Not used to tank/compressor combo, the silence/NOISE got me a couple of times, but oh,...

Gracias, Kylwell! I went to the Kobalt site; it's not quite operational. No joy, there. I went to the Lowes site/same as you've posted, and my new water trap is the LARGER of the two you showed. (I'll be the first to give them a review all right!!) Looooked all over, it has no air flow markings (see...

Camelopardis! (see Jason of Star Command for this invective) Thank You, guys; I'm still flummoxed 'bout direction but will try the Kobalt.com site in a bit, and experiment tomorrow, since 'humidity will be up in S Texas City'. I've wondered IF I didn't buy from a batch of H2O filters that got missed...

HELP, Please; a compressor WATER TRAP question!
:( Seriously, my leetle old Badger piston critter up and died...the (small) flames comin' out assured me of that... SO, off to Lowe's Home Store. I've been thinking of this replacement for a while (could not remember when I bought the Badger), so got a Blue Hawk brand twin tank 2-gal compressor rig....

Yessir, thank you for the ideas. I went to my club's Wise Old Owl (an Active Modeler older than ME  He'd had similar problems with the white Lindbergh plastic; it's apparently oilier(?) than it looks. Even washed, it did feel talc-like on the finger...Thanks again. Oh, and the WOO also told m...

Howdy, All; Have had some medium and thick gap filling glue problems of late. I'm using 'Extreme Power' brand (from Hobby Lobby- I think they're the equivalent of ""Bob Smith brand"" which is from Hobby ToWn) I've laid down a bead of thick (the yaller bottle, yah?) glue, mebbe 1/...

I'm looking for links to a car/auto/truck modeling site, hopefully as GREAT as this one - any recommendations? Looks good; at a clearance price, I'd say go ahead! Most Dremels give you one or two bits with the drill, but look around there at the display for Dremel accessories; you can also buy them (at varying prices) in many model stores (realworld, and online). I like their 'cut off discs' (a thin disc of ...

Howdy; been using Dremels for yahrens; not sure which model the 100 is (the battery powered portable?!- if so, GOOD!), but I'll tender some general advice. IF you've used the 110 volt versions before, you may know that a speed controller is vital! . The newer, more expensive Dremels come with one bu...
