What is the best way to illuminate upper registry number?

I'm having trouble with getting my light aimed properly to illuminate the registry number. I have the DIY Trek Modeler lighting kit and from what I can tell, it shows to install a 5mm white LED for this after raising the bridge an 1/8 of an inch. What is the best way to get the light right and what ...

Yeah, I'm wanting to do this myself. I know that there are ones out there that are already done but I want to expand my electronics knowledge and thought that this might be a good project to learn with. Thanks for the reply.

Navigation/Flasher Board

I'm trying to save a few $$$ and want to build my own Navigation/Flaser board. How do I do this and what do I need to buy to make it? Thanks in advance. I should add that I'm doing this on a 1/350 PL Refit.

Thanks for all the help. I in fact ordered a smaller board last night. Don't know what I was thinking. For some reason, I thought that the one I have would fit. This is my first lighting project so I will be visiting this section a lot during my build so hopefully I won't be too much of a pain.

I'm thinking that I might have the resistors in the wrong place but I'm not entirely sure. Here is how I have them: R1 - Yellow, Violet, Red, Gold R2 - Brown, Green, Green, Gold R3 - Green, Blue, Brown, Gold Some of the colors are hard to tell. The instructions say that R1 - 4.7K Ohm R2 - 1.5Meg Ohm...

Sequential LED Kit

I got the 10 LED sequential kit from Chaney Electronics and finished putting it together. For some reason, all the LED blink at the same time and do not alternate. Any ideas what I might have done wrong? I am trying to put the landing lights in the shuttle bay of 1/350 Refit Enterprise. If you guys ...
