I have recently used the Floquil on Capt. cardboard's high quality resin and I have found it to be slightly tacky in a good dry weather situation....after it dried 24 hrs I wet sanded it down just a tad and after hand...

Thats what this thing is....just the guts from a old protable CD player. Very cheap and runs at 1.5v! This would be PERFECT for the 1/...

I like to start with bright that way you can control the direction and brightness with defusing methods.

I like to use soft White (true white) led's then defuse or tint as needed.

I use an old 'copy machine' glass for my working surface....its thick, so its not easy to break it, perfect for keeping things...

The glass optics should not be used!

Regular model glue will melt the satandard optics. Ca is fine.

Good luck!

What R ya working or planning to do?

Kevin said it... That is the BEST way to do it. Be careful and don't rush it or you will be going through several bits. Resin can be touchy....you think you have the right size of bit then after you drill....the material likes to close a bit and the optic barely fits through. To OPTIMIZE light trans...

1/12 EVA Pod Door motor/mechanism!

This just might do the trick! Using a worm gear system from any cheap portable CD player. After removing the 'disc' drive motor and the unnecessary plastic the unit will fit perfectly inside the 'ear muff' of the Pod and even now almost fits flush. This example below has not yet ben modified. Then a...
