I wonder whatever happened to TAC (the OP)...he had a lot of interesting ideas and posted quite a bit for a few months in 2018, then disappeared from September of that year. Hope he's OK.

Sadly, it's impossible to do unless you just keep trying and it slips by...but that is breaking the rules. If they catch it, they'll stop it, maybe confiscate it, or worse.

That's why HobbyLink Japan and other Japan-based net shops no longer offer paints for overseas customers.

The Gunze paints are good. They come in water-based and lacquer-based types.

Gunze is in no way related to Tamiya, however. Two entirely different companies, paints come from two entirely different sources. They are major competitors here in Japan.
