Yes, they should work just fine since there's only 2 connections (positive and negative).

I've used Paul's LED tape on several of my builds and have had good success running them on 9V.

Are you saying the batteries are physically leaking? Do you mean the ends have white corrosion a.k.a. potassium carbonate (normally on the negative end)? Have you checked the battery box? There may be some corrosion causing the batteries to discharge. You can use vinegar or lemon juice to clean up t...

Unfortunately, they're RGB LEDs not single color (i.e. White).

Wow - never ran into this problem before!

I usually check my circuitry before I solder them in for this very reason.

Good thing you caught it before you buttoned it up!

I've ordered a bunch of nano and pico SMDs from Evan Designs (http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/). Heck of a bargain at $2 a pop considering the fine soldering involved!

BTW - He offers free shipping on orders greater than $40!

I talked to Tom to make sure he was aware of the situation (Kenny can verify). Looks like he bought the wrong replacement parts for his CN. The CN comes with a .35 mm setup and he purchased the .5 mm setup (goes with the BCN bottle feed). That's why he wasn’t getting any air. Not that you can't chan...

I normally use Automotive (lacquer-based) Primer when working on vinyl kits. That way I can paint enamels or acrylics over it without any issues.

Captain, Welcome to the wonderful world of airbrushing. Hate to say, but sooner or later you're going to have to thin your paints for the airbrush. That's probably why you were having problems with MM Acrylics. You can use a generic thinner, but I recommend using whatever brand of paint's thinner. R...

Anvil, Are you asking how to cut the fibers in the tube to the same length or the other ends? A razor saw should work for the tube or you could keep them all flush in the tube and have the remaining stick out the other end. I use fingernail clippers to cut the ends sticking out of the model for a ni...

There's a product called Mold Maker that you can find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. It's liquid latex and works great as a liquid mask. I've left it one for several weeks and never had a problem lifting it off and it doesn't pull up paint.

Depends on the forward voltage of the LEDs and whether you're wiring them in series or parallel. White LEDs have different voltage requirements than colored ones.

To answer your question - it's a fantastic masking agent. Since it's so plyable, you can use it on just about everything. Best part is that it doesn't stick to the paint!
