Seems the communication block is affecting everyone. Wonderfest is such a wonderful event. I hope this isn’t the beginning of a downfa...

Go to the HVAC dept at Lowes or Home Depot-----pick up a roll of aluminum adhesive duct tape 2 inches wide, great adhesive, cuts easily, and very reflective. Works great on my TOS Enterprise. I also burnish it down after it's applied---goes over irregular surfaces well if it burnished. It's about $9...

Wire Glue?
Okay fellas, what about this stuff:
http://www.wireglue.us/
Snake oil, or a decent substitute for soldering----on simple projects. Not like a 1/350 refit.
Any experience, thoughts?

Red and blue pigments are notoriously difficult to remove from brushes, one of the old-time recommendations if you're going to paint a lot of reds or blues is to use a separate brush for each color family. Ken Amen to that----I just learned the hard way with Insignia Blue Acryl. Ended up doing a co...

I cleaned with lacquer thinner on my current project, primed with Mr Surfacer 1000, color coated 12 hours later. Picked out all the bezels 8hrs later. The next evening (24hrs) clear coated with future. Next day, I installed in the cockpit. While masking out the cockpit to paint the fuselage, I un-kn...

Aw George - you sent him to the hardware store? I've found a larger Ace or True Value has a better selection of fittings and bolts, though. There's no substitute for the proper bit of hardware - which you can embed in epoxy putty for stability. Actually, there's a great True Value in Hartville, but...

Local,quick, source for LED
Hey guys, If you happen to have an Advance Auto Parts nearby, they happen to carry Streetglow products. A much larger selection than Auto Zone. In particular, Streetglow's Optx line: http://www.optxbysg.com/elneonstring.shtml The 5 foot string I picked up is ready to be hard-wired to a 12v supply an...

Matter of fact here's that link:
http://www.flex-i-file.com/html/adhesives.html
Also, about half way down you'll see the stand I was talking about----it's called the Fill n Clean. Heavy base to hold your glue, and it won't tip over. If you're as clumsy as I am, I recommend it.
