Try striping the wire out of old electrical cable some will be copper some metallic.
You can wrap the wire around something as thin a a needle to produce very thin hollow all be it corrugated hose.

Yah gotta love Sci Fi modelling where there are no boundaries and only Sci Fi modelers can power hovertanks with Zero Point Energy Modules

Good point but no matter what power source is used it will run out sooner or later,the thought of radioactive materials and other volatile fuel sources on a tank concerns me so i decided having boiling water spray all over the crew would be more exceptible

I still haven't decided, but i can't seem to get away from a steampunk design probably steam driven which ultimately drives a power generator to power the electric fans. Iam visualising fans for upward lift that possibly could tilt or 2 separate sets of fans that propel the tank forward and backward...

I do agree that i should experiment a bit to see how it turns out.
90% of my models are scratch built and i spray them all over with an etch primer once all the greebies are fitted seems to work well with hand painting.
