Yes, I found a 1/48 TF-102 vac-formed conversion that looks like it'll do the trick! It's on the bench....!

Re: Tutor eliminated?

Not quite pointy enough. I'm looking at the 2 seat Dagger as the best option - either that os some serious scratch building!

I've tried Britmodeller - no one is willing to part with one!

And no one makes a 1/48 KA 52 (thought of that too!)

And I'm aftraid buying a 1/48 Flanker just to butcher the cockpit is too extravagant even for me!

Projects on hold anyway til I've done my Stafighter competition entry!!

The A37 is another possibility, though it's not *quite* pointy enough to be ideal. I like the TF102 - never knew it existed! But can I find a kit of it? I thought the 2-seat Lightning would be ideal, and it turns out there was once an injection 2-seat conversion kit for the front in 1/48 which would...

All good ideas guys. I did think the Hunter 2-seater would work but the 1/72 kit is a little small for the ship (even though it is a 1/72 model), and they don't make it in 1/48. F111s and Flankers are a bit pointy for what I have in mind, but the 2 seat lightning could be perfect if I can find one, ...

Need cockpit ideas...

I am currently scratchbuilding a craft of my own design - something I've been drawing on and off since I was a kid - and am now looking for something to use as the basis for the cockpit module bit. It's a twin-seat side-by-side bullet-nosed design - I've always sketched it as something about the sam...

Tiny Little Windows

Normally, I pretty well ignore tiny little windows on large starships. But I'm about finished a Romulan warbird with nice, deeply etched windows, and have seen several built ones where these are nicely filled in with white. Is there any special trick or technique for colouring tiny little windows? P...

Bringing Back the SHine

I've just finished a model which is mostly silver (Tamiya silver leaf) with some grey highlights. I've Testors Dullcoted it over all the decals, etc, but I'd like to give it another coat of something to brighten up the basic metallic-ness of the thing - not gloss, but some kind of semi-gloss or sati...
