Re: Which glue for old Lindberg kit "Visible Human Body"
Hmm, I see Plastruct has quite a selection of different glues for different plastics. Unfortunately it seems I can't get these over here in europe / Germany. Thanks, I will try to get something similar.

Which glue for old Lindberg kit "Visible Human Body"
https://abload.de/img/51ut-prmdtl._ac_cckzi.jpg I have this "Visible Human Body" kit by Lindberg and just had a closer look at it. The plastic is very soft and feels kinda waxy. Tamiya cement won't do a thing and even superglue struggled holding two parts together. Which glue is recommend...

Re: Plastic options for making a large-ish sign
Well, I would recommend you use some sort of Aluminium-Plastic-Composite material like the original Dibond. This is quite light (at 3 mm strength), cheaper than metals, easy to work with, can be engrooved and / or bend, comes in different colors (even a brushed metal look) and keeps rigid / sturdy e...

Re: Scratchbuilding article
I hope it's not "hijacking", but I think that thread serves well to post more articles or in my case videos about interesting scratchbuilding ideas. Found this CTG guy on YouTube and he certainly has some interesting tips and tricks for scratchbuilding. Well worth to check out some of his ...

Re: DIORAMAS you would like to build
https://abload.de/img/nexus2cee_unnamed-10pvksw.png Kotobukiya released one of my favourite space ships a couple of years ago. It's a Player 1 Ship from the videogame "Raystorm". I would love to build this drydock you can see in the image above. There are not many reference pics for this,...

Oh, well yes of course. If you look from a bit farther, it's always good to have a plan, where you want to have greeblies / detail and how it should roughly look. I was more talking about the actual bits and pieces and how to assemble them. You can't just put one tank greeblie next to the other and ...

I always try to make it look, like it'd work. It's also really helpful to split up greeblies and glue more smaller ones together, than to just take a tank part and glue it onto the hull. I don't think about a purpose for this greeblie or that. Piping looks always great and I love to do that, but it ...

Ah, thanks for the link. Great pictures, which explain the technique nearly by themselfes. Very nice. I guess this technique is hard to do when you are (still) painting your models with a brush, right? I noticed, that my paintcoat is always quite thick when I use my brush. Now imagine adding 2 diffe...
