Can anyone send me some PM's? My notifications stopped working on the last site so I'd like to see if they're working now....

Before I really got into it, I had a couple of things printed in WSF and they do NOT clean up nicely for masters. Good for small one-offs if you just want some army builders, so to speak. Now I always go with FUD. Hands down the best they offer. My Gozanti (350+2256), Dreadnaught (4222+10k), ISD Dom...

Tamiya and Future mix?

Do Tamiya acrylics mix well with Future? I want to add a little extra gloss to some thinned down chrome silver but am curious if it's even worth experimenting with if someone has already tried this...

It's a good idea to read through their design guidelines for each material, too. Knowing the limits of a design for any final output medium is essential.

White strong and flexible is not good for masters. It is very difficult to sand the resolution lines down. They do offer a polished version, but again it's very hard to work with it. It's also not as detailed as you might want to get for masters. Frosted Ultra Detail is the way to go IMHO.

One-Day Build Challenge: 1/4 Bf110C Instrument Panel

Hooray!! I finally beat the one-day build challenge! I circled and circled on a subject and finally came to Eduard’s 1/4 Bf110C Instrument Panel. A few months back I picked up the Royal Class Bf110 pack and this was included. Since the initial release the dashboard has actually been packaged as its ...

But remember to keep it black and white and use the parallel projection view. That way any perspective effects will be negated.

Shapeways (haters gonna hate) offers an "image extruder" process. Basically it can take a black and white image and print it to whatever your specs are. Material choice might be limited...but worth some research.

Eh, I'd say close enough. A+ for effort on the 24 hr push.
I like those highlights though, if you were to do a really light overcoat it might cinch them up perfectly.

good work!

Eventually there will be a hole cut out for a 9V...I'm even thinking about adding a few Death Star panels or something. But that wouldn't be consistant with the shi...

Ball joint mounting?

So I've seen a number of builds that utilize a ball-jointed mounting system... Something like THIS http://www.makmodeler.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/L1100173.jpg or THIS http://www.makmodeler.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/L1090068.jpg or THIS http://www.makmodeler.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/...
