Its an AB epoxy putty. I think it is tamiya, but I can't translate. It is very, very popular with Japanese modelers. I assume that is due to ready availability?
The first three images come from his WIP galleries. The last two are from the Plamo Tsukurou video of the custom figure GK.

I think that's exactly it. Made from Wave and available at HLJ http://www.hlj.com/product/WAVOM-091JadedMonk wrote: Its an AB epoxy putty. I think it is tamiya, but I can't translate. It is very, very popular with Japanese modelers. I assume that is due to ready availability?

Honestly? If you're looking for 2-part modeling compounds you can't do better than Aves Apoxie Sculpt.
It will smooth water or alcohol, but the usefulness is multiplied ten-fold if you use Safety Solvent.

oh Aves is a great product and i use it and many other puttys just like it . But what i have been looking for is a good putty that is carveable , meaning it will hold its form well , but carves like a renshape . I use lots of renshape and love it , but would love to get a putty that works as well for the hand sculpted stuff./
hey thanks for finding that pic , i missed it . i think i will see if i can add it to my newest order . once i get it i will let you know how it is.
