Help w/ re-lighting AA/DST Enterprise-E

I recently purchased the AA/DST Enterprise-E and as most you who own this fine collectible are aware the impulse and nacelle engines don't light up. I've seen pictures of cusotmizers replacing the bulbs in this collectible with that of LEDs as well as making the impulse and nacelle engines light up in synch with the voice/sound/light effects.

That said, I was wondering if someone here on the boards could help me either with a tutorial or a link that describes how to replace those bulbs with LED lights. I don't know anything about electronics but would like to learn. Nothing fancy. Just a simple replacement and add ons (i.e. impulse and nacelle engines).
