Had a chance to use my new scriber from John Vojtech's outfit UMM and it is AWESOME!
While repairing my BV-194, I had to putty in a small hole on the belly where the torpedo pylon had been located. Because my traditional scriber is a point, it kept getting caught in the soft putty and screwing up my seam. The long end of the UMM scriber worked great in this application - no point, no snag.
Love this thing and recommend one be added to your tool box right away.

I got one and I love it. I used it to scribe the panel lines on the battlestar pegasus and it worked great. So great, in fact, that some of the panel lines could be considered trenches. After a bit of practice, I did the reissue Viper and got satisfatory results.
If I have a bow and arrow, Commander, I don't shoot a padded shaft to my target's left in order to express my annoyance. I fire a steel-tipped arrow into his leg. That's my idea of a warning shot.
