Kinda depends on where you live...

If you have a WalMart nearby, go look in the 'funky lamps' section. Here, they usually stock those lamps made of nothing but fibre-optic strand. Granted, its not communications quality ans usually melts if you put model glue on it...

But, I'm using it to light up a Confederate Star Destroyer, and so far-so good! (btw... i'm using extra strength white glue to hold them in place from the inside.)
