Masking

What are your suggestions for the best tapes for masking? Which ones leave the cleanest lines?

Tamiya tape, hands down.

It's either that or Parafilm-M.

Yep, Tamiya tape. Tried to find others as good but no luck.

Yep, Tamiya tape rocks.

I've used the slightly frosted Scotch tape as well, which can be cut very accurately and doesn't have as much adhesion as regular clear tape.

Got some Parafilm on order from ebay. Something like 4" x 10' - likely more than I'll need in a lifetime. I look forward to trying it.

Tamiya Tape gets my vote too. For really big jobs I use the Blue 3M painters tape.

I also use the blue painters tape and really "burnish" ( rub down with a pencil eraser or other like object) down the edges. I find big rolls of it at my dollar store. :)
