Weathering Question

Hi there every one.

Has any one come across or used the Tamiya Weathering Kits available in the SSM Store, What are they like , What kit would you use on weathering an X-Wing / Y-Fighter.
Sorry if sounds like a silly question this will be my first atempt at weathering and I want to get all the info and for it to look good before I start.

Edit: I will using an airbrush with possibly Tamiya Acrylics, is there some else out there that is good for weathering tech.

I've got them all and used them. They're a bit like a sticky pastel, good adhesion and easy feathering. Great for soot, oils stains, dust, etc. My only complaint is the little brushes that come with them wear out quickly but thy can be replaced with a bag of make-up applicators from a beauty supply store.
