Styrene spheres, half an inch or so

Anybody got a good source for hollow styrene spheres in the 3/8 to 1/2 inch range? I need a couple for a Land Ironclad project I'm gathering parts for.

I looked at fishing floats, but they're too big. Ideally, one of you guys would say, "Oh, yeah, they make those for Gundams. You need to order thus-and-so from HobbyLink Japan."

Dollar stores near me have cards of little girl party favor ear rings- chrome plastic with a tinted styrene "jewel" in the middle. These are hemispheres with a neat ribbed pattern on the inside, and are just under 1/2" in diameter.

Do they need to be hollow? You can buy solid spheres from US Plastics and other plastic distributors. They don't have a parting line and they're perfectly round.

Staggeringly cheap, too-I picked up an assortment bag ( maybe
30 bobbers? ) from my local Academy for about three bucks. The
only 'downside' is removing the spring-loaded plug to hold the line
but thats about ten seconds work with a pair of needle-nosed lab
assistants...pliars, I mean.

Double-plus D'oh. I just re-read your original post. I think the
smallest float in the package is about 1/2 to 3/4", but will check
the stash this evening to be sure.

The fishing floats are a liiiiiittttle too big, and the Plastruct spheres a bit too thick--but I suppose I could vac-form something over a Plastruct hemisphere if I needed to. I was hoping for something ready-made, though.

Just a small update: I decided to go with hemispheres, and the magnetic effector-thingies from the Dick Tracy Space Coupe kit were perfect.
