Trying to scratch build the Red Dwarf
Do any body know where to get some good pic to go by or even a blueptint of the Space Ship.

There was a magazine article a few years ago about the Red Dwarf ship, there aren't a lot of photos of it. There were pics in the Red Dwarf magazine which I never got a copy of.
The original model from memory was stored on a shelf, fell off and broke. This is one of the reasons they had to do the latter seasons in CG.

series 1 dvd has the raw effects shots of the fly-bys in the extras. Great references and really close detail shots.
When the original got smashed, they built another for series 4 and then blew it up in the heroes and demons episode!
The two miniatures are quite different - the red dwarf-A has a lot more surface detail and is more of an orange colour - its supprising how many shades of purple to red were in the original.
