Modelling 101, a beginner's guide to model building

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Modelling 101, a beginner's guide to model building

Post by face »

I've been posting videos on youtube about the models I build for a couple years now, and I figured I'd post some of 'em here to see if I can't drum up some new viewers. Not sure if I'll keep posting these here long term, depends on how much interest comes from it.

I guess the best place to start would be with my latest series: Modelling 101, a beginner's guide to model building.

Episode 1, Getting started, choosing your first kit

Episode 2, The basics of tool use

Episode 3, all you ever wanted to know about glue

Episode 4 will be up in a few days.

I like this stuff. I think even experienced modelers should check it out, especially those with kids.

My first models were fairly complicated WWII fighter planes, and it would've been nice to know a better place to start.

Keep em' coming kid. They serve a purpose and are informative to people who are new to the hobby. They're like Oreos, you just can't have one. Or is that another commercial...? :-k

I really like your videos. It's always good to hear tips from experienced builders (especially for someone like me, who just got started). Keep 'm coming!
