Photo etched tools - what do you recomend for bends?

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Photo etched tools - what do you recomend for bends?

Post by Darthsideous »

Hi, I am working on a Sci-fi model and am looking at adding photo-etched parts, but I am not sure how to do bends in the phot-etched pieces. Is there a special tool for doing this?

Don't recall actual tool-name(lost instructions) but I got it from HLJ.

Bending tool/holder that is made from plastic work well for the amount I do(little), small parts I use a bending shears.

Tool(US product) I use is a small plastic version of the "Hold'n Fold" and fits into your pocket.

As always the needs will define the tool.

Found it. http://www.hlj.com/product/GAUAG128

Etch Mate is your friend. :D

Wow! Thanks guys, i had no idea that there were so many different types of tools for this. Kylwell thanks for the list of tools. I've already found a few I can use. I've never heard of this website before.
