1) eXacto
2) Needle files
3) Sprue nippers
4) Flex-i-Files
5) Pin vise
6) Rotary tool
7) Tweezers
8) The Chopper
9) Ruled straightedge*
10) Dental pick
Those are just my tools, mind you. I don't really consider masking tape, glue, etc. tools because they're consumed during the process and fall under the same category as materials like styrene stock and balsa.
*most people consider this a measuring tool first, but I always considered mine a straightedge first, measuring tool second. Most of my measuring consists of lining up a piece of stock next to the area it needs to fit in, marking it off a bit bigger than necessary, and using my straightedge to cut it precisely.

The UMM saw I have is the best ever so I am hoping the same goes for the scriber.

I always thought you can achieve the same results with Flex-Pads but I might get one after reading more...MillenniumFalsehood wrote:...

Agreed! Keep the list to tools only please. Material can have a top-10 of its ownMillenniumFalsehood wrote:Those are just my tools, mind you. When I scratch a part out of styrene, I glue it to the glass.... and glue additional pieces to the plastic. When I'm finished, I take a razor blade and slice it off the glass and glue it to the model.Alex Dumas wrote:Hey, no cheatingscratchy wrote:.25) pencil

What's the sheet of glass for?
It's just easier to handle the very small parts when I assemble the parts on the sheet of glass.

I used to use them, but M3 gave me a set of Flex-i-Files for Christmas last year and I'll NEVER go back to sanding sticks or Flex-Pads! I have no idea why I didn't pick these up before; I've seen them at Wonderfest, and I've heard good things about them, but I never thought to buy them.Alex Dumas wrote:I always thought you can achieve the same results with Flex-Pads but I might get one after reading more...
Hey! You promised to keep that between us!Mr. Badwrench wrote:Millennium Falsehood occasionally likes to leap through a plate of glass, when he gets in his Action Hero mode...
