Orange peel affect

Hi all
I bought a smal scale model 58 chevy low rider for testing.before doing the USS Enterprise scale model 1/350.

I've been able to use my air brush gun but the paint in some spots are not a smooth as other area's I think its the orange peel affect

would any one know what it is

It's hard to tell from that pic, but classic orange peel is usually caused by paint that is too viscous, not enough air pressure, or other conditions that cause the paint to not be able to flow out before it dries.

If it's more like the paint hasn't stuck to certain areas, that could be oil, wax, or silicone that the surface picked up, usually from your fingers. Usually a surface prep of rubbing alcohol or thinner will fix this.

Also, it seems like more models lately have a lot of mold release on them, so I don't even tempt fate, every model gets a gentle bath before I even cut it off the sprues.

I should of wash it before painting to which I didn't do
how ever here is a blow up image should of done that too, I've been seriously ill over the past three weeks and I've only just started to feel alive again copped a infection on my Spleen.
