Hi all. I getting back into models after a 15+ year break now that my kids are interested in them. I have done a fair number of gaming miniatures in the meantime. This seems like a no-brainer question to me, but I'd rather ask before I try it. Are there any differences I should know about in painting/washing/drybrushing a model vs a mini?
Thanks,
Dev

The only difference I can think of, I usually wash white metal in vinegar before priming. With plastic I just use soapy water. Also, plastic tends to develop a slight static charge, especially when sanding on it. So to keep dust and cat hair from being attracted to the surface, I'll always wash it before painting operations, even if it's already clean.
I speak of the pompatous of plastic.

Agree with badwrench on the priming.
That said thank god companies like GW have switched to plastic. SO much easier to customise.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage
to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill today because they got on my nerves.
And help me to remember when I'm having a bad day and it seems that people are trying to wind me up, it takes 42 muscles to frown, 28 to smile
and only 4 to extend my arm and smack someone in the mouth!
