I am FAIL!

Post by Gouf »

Well, I bit off a bit more than I could chew. I thought I could bang out a 220+ piece Master Grade in a day. Truth be told, If I didn't have to work today and could have stayed up all night, it would be done. But sadly, I am fail. :(

In the beginning:

Mid point:

End and Fail, setting next to the box of stripped sprue :

But I did have a lot of fun working on it. It really is a FUN kit to build.

Awe well, next time I'll try again with something with maybe 1/3rd the part count. LOL

Yikes! That's why I'm going to do one of those Bandai Star Blazers minis! Less than a dozen parts!

That third pic would be amusing with a word balloon. Something like, "Aw, c'mon man! Put my arm on already!"
But isn't it all Klingon opera?

Thanks for posting that. I laughed for ten minutes! Not at the project but the amount of time it took to almost compleat. Im sure any man with a day off from work would be proud of your valiant effort. I can also identify with the number of uncomplicated projects. Right now my phone is full of at least 3! And I spent this morning off from work trying to bash a möbius viper's rear end!........Trekman

Excellent try, though, Gouf! Doing a model in a day is a lot harder than it sounds, simply because there is little room for error. You spend too much time on one piece of the buildup and bam! Time's up.

Thanks guys. I don't think I can squeeze another attempt in before the end of the month. But I'll try again if they have it next month. :D
