Submission deadline extended - one last time!

Post by Lonewolf »

Edited July 2: In an effort to encourage folks to submit something, I'm going to extend the deadline one last time, to carry through the month of July.

So . . . last time: DEADLINE IS JULY 31ST!

I was without Internet at home for most of June, otherwise I would have been chatting up the contest. I'm back on line, no thanks to my prior ISP, which filed bankruptcy and didn't bother to tell anyone what the frack they were doing . . . just cut off service and refused to answer their phones.

Send away!

Submissions can be sent to: sfmkdmaster@hotmail.com

Captain Pike: Don't make me laugh.
Commander Burnham: Fortunately for you, I was raised on Vulcan. We don't do funny.
Captain Pike: Ha! (ouch)
Commander Burnham: Maybe I should just shut up.

Math Problem: Sam has 100 model kits, Frank takes 10 model kits ... what does Sam have?
Answer: 100 model kits and a corpse.

How about redoing the contest for June?

I think the major thing that got in the way was Wonderfest. In my case, I've got material for a one-day build (Starblazers minis), but was working on other models earlier in May, and was thinking I'd have time later. I was obviously not thinking clearly: last 3 days we had our 20th wedding anniversary, I had to pick up my mom from the airport, then our daughter's birthday and bat mitzvah. And still had to get all the usual household chores done, while doing prep for summer session classes I'm teaching.

People tell you how busy they are as a way of bragging about how important they are. Let's set the record straight: I'm busy because I'm dumb enough to let other people who are evidently more important than me load up my plate!

Yeah, I figured we wouldn't be starting until June because of WF

Whew, thanks! I think I can squeeze in a one-day build later this week.

Maybe it would be a good idea to give onezero an announcement about the contest to post on the website, too.

Yup, another month! I'll definitely make time...but I'm just trying to finish up my Errant Venture for the SMA contest. If I get it done before the 30th I'll take a "break" with a 1-day for sure. :P

Rebooted for one more month, and we're counting the entry that's already been submitted.

At the risk of sounding thick (I AM new here):

I can submit an entry up to July 31st to the email posted, with properly documented photos and write up, etc.

If that's the case, count me in. I need to start on something or I'll never start on anything.

And to be clear, nothing gets posted anywhere, it only gets emailed to the link. In this way it's all posted at once without names, and voting takes place based on the model itself. That's how I read it, I just want to make sure.

Thank you for your patience. It'll be my first model in...oh...27 or so years!

Correct. No posting here, but send everything to sfmkdmaster@hotmail.com

I'll upload the photos to my Photobucket site, and then I'll post a poll here so y'all can vote for the winner.
