Necessary to have folding tools for Viper Mk VII Cockpit?

I've checked and I read where it says it helps, but is it really necessary to have a folding tool to build up the cockpit or just nice to have and makes life easier? Just purchased the Mk VII and I will be picking upt he photoetech cockpit from ParaGrafix soon, so I am just getting everything together.

Like any sort of tool question, No, it's not _necessary_. Very little is necessary, in that the model can't be built without it. You can build a model without a knife if you are so inclined. But I would say a folding tool _would_ be d@mned helpful.

I am noticing... might have to get the one being sold by Paragrafix. Now building without using a knife, that would be an interesting challenge.

I use a couple of thin metal rulers as a folding tool for photo etch.

Why didn't I think of that? All this time I've been struggling trying to fold photoetch using chopsticks.

I am forever amazed at the direction some of these topics take.
