wire stripping small gauge wire issue
30 and 32 gauge is too small for my wire stripper. Anyone have a good alternative? Thanks.
Depending on what the insulation is (sometimes with wire this small it's just a coating of varnish), you could burn it off with a lighter, then burnish the wire or just use a sharp knife and scrape it off. With small wires, I often hold it against my thumb with a #11 blade, rotate the wire and pull it off. Don't apply too much pressure, you don't want to cut into the wire itself. It could break if flexed too much.
