Which is best for painting starships...acrylic or enamel?

Are you speaking in terms of actual starships (i.e. the type that *really* travels around space) or those of the representation in miniature that sits on your desk or bookshelf, or hang from ceiling?

What materials are you using in the construction? This would likely be one of the determining factors to choose particular finishing medium.

Define "best".

Acrylics are easier to clean-up, have much lower VOCs, dry faster & can handle an oil wash w/o a clear coat.

Enamels have a tougher finish, dry slower, go on smoother.
