3ft tall Hostile Realms concept ship scratchbuild

Post by WildHouseModels »

Hi guys - started to work on a large scale spaceship concept for fun based on Homeworld 3. Modigying it though to add in some Hostile Realms ideas but I've basically started the main engine section and cargo bay. I plan to light it with fiber and design my own decals :)

Loads of detail still to add but put some basic panel lines to test...

Not familiar with this ship- could you please post a link to a reference image so I know what you are aiming at?

Yes although I plan to do some mods to it and maybe change the design slightly.

Progress on the scratch build....

Post by WildHouseModels »

Wanted to share some progress - added some greeblies/greebles to the main hangar bay panel as well as the engine panel at the rear. Put detail onto the panels then gave them a coat of primer to help prepare for the next stage.

Added a bit of Fiber Optical cable and lighting after drilling a few 0.75mm holes in the side of the card.

Sorry about that - fixed it now so use the links above - they shouldn't need a login now to Google+.

This is cool. I've always wanted to see someone build this. Have you gotten anything more done?

Alas. Well, it will still be there when you get the time, and I'll still be watching.

Thanks - I was enjoying this build so I might spend a bit of time on this next week after I've got a kit of my bench I need to finish this weekend.
