acrylic wash

Post by hoth rebel »

Anyone use the cheap bottles of craft paint to make a wash?
What did you thin it with?
Thanks.

I did actually, and more than once. I used Future to thin mine out.

Thin with water and a drop of liquid dishwashing detergent. The detergent reduces surface tension and makes the wash "wetter".

I was painting figures at the time and it worked great. I used black over silver metallic.
