I use Testors enamels to paint with...and use oils for washes and weathering.....but that's mainly for SW....Ma.k subjects....etc...(heavier weathering)
Looking for something a little less drastic for my big Star Destroyer...
What would you guys suggest? .....acrylic wash?...lighter wash with oils?
Any tips on using acrylics...I haven't used them much...especially for washes
Question for you enamel users out there...

Lighter colored wash with oils or watercolors.
I've tried acrylic washes before and don't like them, once they start to dry that's it, it's not like enamels or oils where a little thinner will re-wet the surface and you can manipulate it. And acrylics seem to dry faster, giving you a smaller window to work in.
Maybe make up 2 oil wash mixtures? One 25% (or so) darker than your base coat and another 50% darker than the base, use the lighter one for highlighting surface details on the hull and the darker one for deeper recesses?
