I know this violates the "no tank hull" rule, but I figured I'd post it anyway. I posted it a few years ago but here it is again:

Another angle\

1/35 Trumpeter S-103, scratchbuilt barrel, parts from everything from a 1/24 Votoms kit to 1/24 car shocks and mufflers. I really need to take some better pics of this.

Oh, no! Now I'm going to have to listed to my Devo CD!

(Still got most of the old cassettes but they're knackered.)

Just givin ya some stuff. I know you didnt build it for the challenge. Ill let it pass for inspiration to others and actually a good example of what not to do for this challenge.

The Trumpeter S tank is quite recognizeable. Other than that though it looks cool and is well done.

That's what I had intended in the first place: that it should provide some inspiration.

Well, the question is moot anyway -- the thing is currently undergoing a major rebuild/rethink.
