What are your favorite greebles ???
What is everyone's favorite / preferred source of greebles ? I am curious to what others use for detail parts, main components etc. Although I am no expert in building like some of you guys, I find dollar stores a good start for the grebellion creations usually the toys or party supply section. They are cheap and plentiful. Hopefully we can all help each other with new ideas and inspiration.

I find my son's toy boxes very helpful. He has accumulated a lot of broken toys over the years, which I often cannibalize once they are discarded. Also, lego has many interesting specialized shapes these days.

Broken toys from flea markets and thrift stores. Water guns. Broken headphones. Cheap kits from vendors at model contests.

Years ago I picked up a bunch of solid plastic doll eyes at a fabric store- styrene hemispheres 2, 3 4 5 and 6mm across. Cheap and useful for all kinds of things, especially covering up ejector pin marks. I haven't run out or seen any more since. NOPE- I checked AliExpress:

Look up Darice Clear Domes, but, good luck, as their website is a useless swamp.
I'm fairly pleased with these:

This is 12oz (340 grams) of 7mm mini-domes or half-spheres, available in assorted colors, I am using the clear. How many is 340grams of this? Dunno, but lots! I filled up a Ziplock Quart Freezer bag when I decanted the store hanger bag in my hobby area.

Look for "google eyes" at craft stores. These are clear hemispheres in different sizes with black plastic "pupils" inside. They can be used as-is and painted over, or the flat back sanded off and the pupil (which is just a little black plastic ball) removed. Left clear, they make great observation windows/domes. The "pupils" also have their uses.Andrew Gorman wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2017 8:37 am Years ago I picked up a bunch of solid plastic doll eyes at a fabric store- styrene hemispheres 2, 3 4 5 and 6mm across.
