Thinnest,fine tooth saw blade???
Anyone know of a very thin(as thin as possible) fine tooth hand saw blade?I though maybe "Zona" but I'm not sure?I'm thinking of doing surgery on a kit(haven't decided yet),but I need an ultra thin, fine toothed saw blade to do it I think?

My go-to is always the Atlas Super Saw. I've had mine for about 20 years and it still cuts like nothing else, and I just saw that they're still around yesterday as I was considering getting another one just for kicks.

Only thing I don't like is the part that holds the blade interferes with deeper cuts.

This one:

See here for additional blades and other options:

A Google search for "photo-etched craft saw" will turn up other options. Tamiya makes a set. and there's one available under the the Hasegawa-Trytools label. All of these are much, much finer than anything made by Xacto, Zona. or Atlas.

I've got a set of these, and they are great.
RB Productions Saw blades
They're super thin (much thinner than the Zona) and the finest has teeth you can barely see. They cut great and you can shift the blade in the holder to get a deeper cut. The only thing that is a very minor nit is that the screws on the holder need either a tiny wrench or pliers to hold them when you are unscrewing them to change blades. But that difficulty also means that they aren't going to be working loose when you saw, either.

I've also used Hasegawa & Tamiya's scribing saws as saws. Very thin. Very fine.

Thanks guys, lots of options.I think(just guessing) I'll need to make at least a 5/8-7/8 inch cut.Still trying to figure out how i'm going to do this("if") I can pull it off without destroying te part and what damage i do can be repaired?
