1/29 Revell X-Wing

I have the 1/29 X-wing for a build project.First of all,I have found varying articles/threads regarding the kit's accuracy.I don't expect it to be accurate and there are many replacement upgrades on shapeways for that.However,I am wondering about the hull itself.Is if correct or does it need to be completely "re-scratched" to be better or is the "hull" itself fine and only needs a few added details and more accurate re-scribed panel lines? I can't find definite answers.Many of the threads are so old that the pictures aren't even available to see, so I have no idea what is being discussed really,not specifically anyway. I'm also not sure where to find good prints to go off of for making any patterns if I do re-build the hull of this kit.I don't know what other's had done/used before?Any ideas,help,info...suggestions are always appreciated.
