My wife has a hanging display unit with LED lighting. It is powered by three AA batteries. I want to replace them with a wall wart power supply.
What should I get?- I think 4.5v unit since the batteries are effectively connected in series (nose to tail with spring clips to arrange them side by side in the base).
I am not real great at electrical math, I just need to know what type (volt & amp) of transformer to get on Amazon that I can use to directly replace those three AA batteries...

Re: Quick question about power substitution
Here's another one that will replace from two-to-eight AA batteries to one plug-in AC-to-DC converter:

This is not an endorsement, just a reference, I've no experience using it or anything else the manufacturer makes.

Interesting
The transform is identical, nice trick with the battery adapters. I just wired mine into those connectors.

Re: Quick question about power substitution
There's a possible problem with this - many "cheap" battery operated LED products rely on the properties of the battery to reduce the component count and cost of the product - specifically, they can rely on the battery being unable to supply enough current to damage the LEDs due to it's internal resistance acting like a series resistor in the circuit.
If you replace the battery with an equivalent voltage but higher current capacity power source, this can lead to catastrophic failure of the LEDs.
If the circuit has been designed properly then the circuit itself will prevent this. If part of the responsibility has been moved to the particular battery chemistry being used to save a few pennies, then all bets are off.
