Will "attacked" plastic heal?

I puttied the Enterprise today but when I sanded it off, I found that a small bit of plastic on the bottom was gummy.

Is there anything I can do to re-cure it or to patch it?

Just kidding!

Don't worry. The plastic will heal all by itself. Just give it some time.
I've had that happen before with styrene kits using solvent based putties.
